"Clown Doctor" Added to Novevember 1 Event

JUST ADDED- "Clown Doctor" will be entertaining children with magic tricks and other activities from noon to 2 pm  for this year's RWJF Culture of Health Prize Celebration and Take a Loved One to the Doctor Event.

Both events will take place on Saturday, November 1 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm in the Human Services building.

DDC Hosts Series of Events for American Diabetes Month in November

In November, DDC will host a series of events to give information about type 2 diabetes to Durham County residents. Events will cover information such as strategies for diabetes management, healthy eating and physical activity, buying fruits and vegetables on a budget, reading food labels, navigating doctor’s appointments and medication management.

DDC Helps Establish New Healthy Mile Trail

The Durham Diabetes Coalition has been working with the Durham Housing Authority and residents at McDougald Terrace to establish a Healthy Mile Trail in the neighborhood. DDC helped residents choose the one-mile route, paint the route markers and organize the community kickoff. Read more about the McDougald Terrace Healthy Mile Trail.
